TikTok popularity is on a Downfall as the Number of Downloads reduced for the First Time

ByteDance owned TikTok is a short video app company that is undoubtedly one of the most successful apps in the world. Recently is has seen a downfall in the number of users for the first time in the time period of two years. According to the data provided by the Sensor Tower shows that the TikTok has about 177 million users on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store during the third quarter that ended in September. It means that there is about a 4 percent decline in the downloads of the app. This will be the first time the app will see a drop in the number of installs based quarter basis. As of now, TikTok has about 564 million installations this year with a total of 1.45 billion installations since its launch.

TikTok has now become a global success as it is known for the creative content where you can see dancing, lip-syncing videos from the users. It is one of the few Chinese social media platforms that gained huge success globally. Its parent company ByteDance is the world’s largest startup company as it is valued at $75 billion.

It has also used a lot of money for the advertising of TikTok on Facebook as it just bought the users from its biggest competitors. The company has now stopped spending money on advertising as they have seen a sudden drop. For the first four quarters, it was the top app installed from the malformed and after that, it dropped to the Top 10 during the second quarter. The drop from 182 percent a year to 16 percent in the second quarter was a significant drop.

Any app will see a sudden drop in its performance after some time and you need to look for another method for promotion.
