Kajol is soon all set to star in a Netflix original movie, TriBhanga. The movie is supposed to be an intergenerational movie, showcasing three women from the same family and set to cover the period from the ’80s to today. On the outset, it certainly sounds like a family story. And a closer look at some of the rumors doing the rounds seems to indicate the same. The movie is all about the importance of a family to an Indian and the whole plot revolves around this concept.
The others starring in the movie, alongside Kajol happen to be Mithila Palkar (Little Things), Tanvi Azmi (Bajirao Mastani), and Kunaal Roy Kapoor (Delhi Belly)and the movie is to be directed by actress Renuka Shahane (Hum Aapke Hain Koun…!). While production has already begun on Thursday, no release dates have been announced as of yet. According to Shahane, who had written the script as well, it seems that she is finally looking forward to seeing her work in action. One of the reasons that Shahane among others seem to be excited to work with Netflix is the thought of the movie is available to all, on the same day of the release.
According to Netflix India’s director of the original film, Aashish Singh, the movie is being produced in collaboration with Ajay Devgn Films, Banijay Asia, and Alchemy Productions. It is expected that Kajol would set the screen on fire with a tantalizing performance. After all, she’s the one who managed to create runaway hits such as Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and Hum Aapke Dil Mein Rehte Hain, and the 2001 family drama Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. While it is true that the actress is pickier about her roles and prefers to concentrate on her family, it seems that Tribhanga’s story managed to draw her right back in, front and center.
